Ushering in CBC plays a big role. In ushering we take in literarily that we usher people to the throne of God. Hence devotion to prayer is critical. We are the first to come to fellowship service and we are the last to leave. We create an environment that allows the believers to worship freely with minimum disruption. We join the intercessors in prayer; we support the cleaning team to ensure everything is in its place. We ensure that the day’s needs of the ministering Pastor are attended to. We are the first point of contact for believers on Sunday especially for visitors.
It is our role to ensure that they feel welcome and are adequately accommodated. At the end of the service we usher our visitors to the Boardroom to meet our pastors, refreshments and prayer. We are vigilant throughout the whole service to create order so that we allow the Holy Spirit to move freely. We serve not only on Sunday, but in every gathering that requires ushers to minister.
We start or service at 7am on Sundays to ensure that that all is ready. During evening services, we start at 17:00.
